About Us

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide
scholarships that further educational opportunities to Idyllwild students.

Our History

The Idyllwild Scholarship goes back to 1969 when three students were awarded scholarships – one for $250, one for $100, and one student received a desk dictionary.

The organization has carried on since then as a federally tax exempt 501(c)3 organization. Annually, contributions are about $12,000. Idyllwild students from Hemet High School, Idyllwild Arts Academy, Helen Hunt Jackson, and home-school students have been awarded scholarships to further their educational goals.

Each Spring, scholarship recipients are selected by an 12-member committee composed of representatives from local organizations, members-at-large, and the Idyllwild School principal. In 2023, six students received scholarships.

It is so refreshing to meet these smart and talented Idyllwild graduates. They give me the confidence that as they achieve their goals, they will truly make a positive difference in our world.
