Our Mission
Our mission is to provide scholarships that further educational opportunities to Idyllwild students.
Our History
The Idyllwild Scholarship goes back to 1969 when three students were awarded scholarships – one for $250, one for $100, and one student received a desk dictionary.
The organization has carried on since then as a federally tax exempt 501(c)3 organization. Annually, contributions are about $12,000. Idyllwild students from Hemet High School, Idyllwild Arts Academy, Helen Hunt Jackson, and home-school students have been awarded scholarships to further their educational goals.
Each Spring, scholarship recipients are selected by an 12-member committee composed of representatives from local organizations, members-at-large, and the Idyllwild School principal. In 2023, six students received scholarships.
